Arctic Open

The Arctic Open Golf Tournament is staged on the first Saturday in February on ice-covered Black Hawk Lake. This unique annual event brings many locals and visitors to the area outdoors to enjoy a game of golf in the winter!

Pelican Pedal & Pizza Party

This full day of festivities at Black Hawk Lake celebrates the arrival of pelicans in the area and the return of summer. Annual activities include a Pelican Pedal bike ride around Black Hawk Lake, a Pizza Party and more!

Farmers' Market

Visit Main Street on Saturdays from 8am-Noon to find wonderful produce, baked goods, handmade items & much more. The Farmers' Market is open seasonally from May through September.

Sip & Sample

Attendees are able to sip Iowa wine and beer products, sample snacks from local businesses, and shop Main Street merchants & a wide variety of vendors.

Stone Pier Summer Concert Series

This popular event hosts five annual summer concerts on the historic west Stone Pier beside beautiful Black Hawk Lake. Performances from groups of all sizes, with an emphasis on Iowa talent, welcome listeners by boat or on shore.

Ride the Rail

Bike riders from all over the state and beyond gather on the fourth Saturday in May for this annual ride on the 33-mile hard-surfaced Sauk Rail Trail. The start location alternates between Lake View on the northwest end and Carroll on the southwest end every other year.
