Service Organizations

There are many different groups that residents can join to serve their community or simply gather with others to socialize. Lake View is driven by dedicated volunteer organizations, and we encourage all of our full and part-time residents to become involved in a local cause of their choosing.

American Legion & Auxiliary

The Eilert Auen Post #133 of the American Legion is located at 310 Madison Street.

Black Hawk Bike Coalition

The Black Hawk Bike Coalition is a group of bicyclists that work together to promote bicycling in Lake View both on the Sauk Rail Trail and around Black Hawk Lake. Supporting local projects that pertain to the betterment of the biking community, they’ve been involved in fundraising for the bike Fix It Stations located along the trail and around the lake, and the new Bike Arch at the beginning of the Sauk Rail Trail in Lake View. For more information on the bike coalition, please contact Tom Bolan at 712-665-4310 or visit them on Facebook
